Sony SmartEyeGlass Attach

While it’s undoubtful by now that many will already been familiar with Google Glass, you might yet to be aware of Sony’s next-gen Glass dubbed Smart EyeGlass Attach.

Smart EyeGlass Attach is a mini glass lens display module that acts as a secondary screen for smartphone, displaying information pertaining to the wearer surroundings as well as synchronizing data via accompanied app for third-party purpose.

As the name suggest, the lens can be attach to any glass wear and various sensors such as accelerometer, proximity, gyroscope and compass are also onboard for tracking purpose.

The lens feature high resolution OLED micro display with micro optical unit that brings out the full potential of the display’s high image quality, and a miniaturised control board with arithmetic processing capabilities on par with smartphones that was made possible by high-density packaging technology.

The display lens is about 40g in weight, and it comes with a resolution of 640×400 pixels. Though still in beta stage, Smart EyeGlass Attach software developer kit has been announced at the ongoing CES event for apps creation.  It’s expect to go into mass production around next year.
