Huawei today has launched Honor 5C, its latest smartphone in the Honor family and the successor of Honor 4C that was introduced in April last year, making it exactly a year this month. The phone is wrapped in a sleek metal body that measure just 8.3mm at its thickest point. It features a 5.2-inch IPS display with full-HD (1920×1080) resolution, flaunting a pixel density of 424ppi. A 64-bit octa-core Kirin 650 processor clocked at 2.0GHz powered it on the onside, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T830 GPU.
The Honor 5C runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box enhanced with the company’s Emotion UI 4.1. There is hybrid dual SIM slots onboard that allows the second SIM slot to be use as a MicroSD card slot, and a fingerprint sensor at the back for smart security and authentication. Above the fingerprint sensor at the back is a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, while a secondary 8-megapixel camera is placed at the front , also posing f/2.0 aperture.

On the connectivity front, the device supports Bluetooth 4.1 LE, WiFi, 4G LTE + VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh/2900mAh battery. In audio aspect, it comes with SWS sound and Smart PA amplifier audio enhancements.
The Huawei Honor 5C comes in two variants, Honor 5C Standard version and Dual 4G (both SIM) version, priced at CNY 899 ($138 USD) and CNY 999 ($153 USD) respectively. It is available for pre-orders in China and will start shipping from 5th of May in Silver, Gold and Grey colours.
