The Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC, has added a new variant to its Desire 516 that was launched in June dubbed Desire 516C. The phone which was announced by the firm at an event that took place in India on Friday is exclusively available for purchase on Snapdeal at Rs 12,990 (approximately $214). while their is no word on global release.

Specifications

The new Desire 516C specs is not different from Desire 516 when compare, the difference being the first spotting a 0.3-megapixel front shooter while the later comes with 2-megapixel camera.

The smartphone features a 5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. It support dual-SIM functionality and runs the dated Android 4.2 Jelly bean version out-of-the-box.

The Desire 516C is driven by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz, slammed with 1GB of RAM. It houses a 5-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and comes with 4GB built-in storage onboard which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

On the connectivity front, the Desire 516C support Wifi with Hotspot, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It wraps a 1,950mAh battery, rated to deliver up to 220hrs of standby (3G).
