Facebook has announced that starting from today username and password will no longer be required to use Facebook Messenger on both Android and iOS platform.
The firm made this known via its blog post released earlier today. The new update will begin to rollout in Canada, United States, Peru, and Venezuela starting from this week, while availability for other regions is not mentioned. All that is required is a phone number, which gives users access to chat, videos, photos, group chat, voice calling, and video calling.
